Music梵唱大悲咒 THE MANTRA OF AVALOKITE'SVARASep 30, '07 1:58 AM
for everyone

Avalokiteshvara (or Avalokitesvara) is a Bodhisattva who represents compassion, and his mantra also symbolizes that quality. Avalokiteshvara means "The Lord Who Looks Down (in compassion)".

The recitation of the mantra helps achieve perfection in the six practices from generosity to wisdom. The path of these six perfections is the path walked by all the Buddhas of the three times.

Since I received empowerment and verbal transimission from my Rincpoche, I has been chanting this mantra. I chant whenever I have the time to do it as Buddha is with us always :)

If you are interested to learn more about the practise of Tibetan Buddhism, you can visit any of the centres. Please feel free to ask the resident rinpoche and I am sure they will be more willing to guide you into the practise.
