for everyone

"Everyday declare for yourself what you want in life. Declare it as though you have it!"

Since the launch of the March issue of Newman magazine, I have taken this opportunity to shout out to my friends and acquaintances what I have been up to. The 6 page interview (article) was well written, and definitely a tool great for marketing, now and later. Have you read?

Yeah! Do you know? I have this goal since a while ago. In fact, it is being placed as a milestone on my Dreamboard. Well, for those who have absolutely no idea what I am talking about, a Dreamboard (梦想板)is a place - could be a vanguard sheet, a huge piece of paper, a white board, etc where you place the goals you would like to achieve in your journey. Example of goals could be your ideal home, car, job, cashflow, income, and many more. Be specific! These goals could be in the form of words and pictures/photos. I place my Dreamboard in the room where it is most conspicuous.

To be honest, this is the 2nd year that I am doing it and found it to be really useful. Already achieving those goals of mine. Are you?  Well, if you want to learn more and how to create a Dreamboard of your own, do drop me a message! I am always keen to share and help!

Since mid 2006, I have conducted several personal coaching sessions as well as group coaching sessions. One that I fondly remember is a group of nurses from NKF where I shared with them some techniques and tips on how to manage their emotions at work. Being an Occupational Therapist by profession (plus my extensive health & fitness background) has allowed me to better understand the stressors they face at work as well as to recommend the techniques suitable for them. These nurses are definitely a bunch great to teach, as they are willing to have an open mind, most importantly, they are keen to have fun!

Above Right: A photo of the NKF session, with Mr. Jensen Siaw as the main speaker for the event. Note what's on the slide in the background... =) Credit to www.Speak-For-Life.com

In the recent months, I have been busy preparing the course workbooks for my classes, example, the Queenz Competitive Training Programme. The work involved included brainstorming, collating my research materials and resources, and discussions with various experts. Every effort is made to ensure that the training materials are practical, robust, and empowering. Seriously, this is challenging work.

Nevertheless, I am proud to say "Behind every Successful Woman, is a couple of close friends who have been there to lend me their support!" Thank you my dears... Love you all!!!

One quote I fondly remember that is keeping my fire alive:

"What your mind can see, and believe, it can achieve."

On a personal note, being in the profession of helping others is not entirely an easy task. It boils down to that very individual - whether they are willing to take that step forward to help themselves or not. Seriously, I can write another journal on this...based on my experiences with my students/clients.

Looking ahead, I am definitely in the lookout for more opportunities to allow InQueenz presence to be felt in this local community.

Alright! Have a blast this week folks! Hear from you soon!

Hi, that's interesting; a dreamboard. I dont have one, but i used to picture myself doing something i would like to achieve in my mind. It's like painting it into my sub-consciousness i guess...

So everytime when something either positive or negative creeps in, i'll constantly remind myself that vision on the back of my head and work towards achieving it. yup.

I guess there are different ways that the "images" can be remembered. Having the dreamboard allows one to remember the items clearly as well as precisely (if the time line has been set for each item). In fact, when facing it continuously - e.g. at home, on your phone, in your wallet (if you have taken a photo of your dreamboard and bringing it around), it'll sink into your subconscious.

Basically, the Recticular Activating System in the brain will be "activated" and our subconscious will seek out the things/events/situations more effectively to facilitate us obtaining the success we want and like to achieve. =)
